Orange County CA Protests & Events This Week (Apr 27-May 4, 2026)

Dear Greater Orange County:

The May Day Nationwide Shutdown is almost upon us! This Friday May 1, workers, students, and families will rally, march, and take action across the country to demand a nation that puts workers over billionaires, with many refusing business as usual through No School. No Work. No Shopping.

As we continue to gain momentum, we must build solidarity, grow participation and amplify our impact through coordinated collective days of action. If you’ve been paying attention, this is not the first general strike of this era, and it certainly won’t be the last. KEEP. IT. GOING. ✊

See below for all your opportunities this week to get out, make connections, and start taking action! This weekly schedule includes protests, city council/school board meetings, community-oriented activities and mutual aid drives for basics & essentials.

Event listings are collected from community groups across Orange County and do not imply endorsement. Assess your own risk before participating!

The @50501oc and @ocindivisible Rally for Democracy takes place at rotating locations every Sunday except the last Sunday of each month, where we hold our food drive at the Really Really Free Market Anaheim.

About the Sunday Weekly Rally for Democracy & Community Events

We host weekly actions on Sundays from 2-4pm at varying locations throughout Orange County. The schedule is as follows:

Volunteer With Us!

To carry us forward in the movement using these survey results, there are jobs that need active owners.

  • Chat Admins: We do our planning on the Signal app. Help us set up and moderate our weekly planning chats.
  • Location Scouts: Research and propose locations for protest or activity for a given week.
  • Activity Planners: Adopt a favorite non-protest activity (Really Free Market, social picnic, skills workshop, sign-making, etc) and help make it a success.
  • Mutual Aid Coordinators: Manage our food/essentials drive, coordinate drop-off, recruit & schedule volunteers.
  • AND MORE: Many more volunteer roles are available, no matter your skills or availability!
